September 13, 2006 – INDi2010’s phenomenal first year success was a result of a very supportive group of individuals and businesses. Last year’s Founding Team Supporters and Founding Team Builders helped raise nearly $7,000 for the INDi2010 program, while corporate donations reached over $13,000.

Altogether the team’s family of supporters, along with the Diva’s On Skis programs, raised over $23,000 for the program. This unparalleled first year support spurred the team onto the podium an incredible 76 times.

As the INDi2010 Racing Team continues to grow so to do the fundraising initiatives that are required to support an increasingly ambitious program. This year the team aims to raise $50,000 to cover all training and racing expenses. This lofty goal can only be achieved with the support of the Canadian sports community.

For the 2006-2007 season there are again several different options for supporting the INDi2010 Racing Team in their quest for the Olympic podium. The successful Team Supporter and Team Builder donation programs are back with the added flexibility of a frequent flyer points donation program.

All skiers and sport enthusiasts are encouraged to get involved with the INDi2010 program and join the growing team of supporters behind this group of motivated athletes.

You now have the chance to step onto the podium with the INDi2010 Racing Team all the way to the 2010 Olympics!

Team Supporter For a $100 donation, individuals will be enrolled in the INDi2010 Team Supporter program. In addition to having an integral role in pushing athletes towards the Olympic podium, all Team Supporters receive an INDi2010 Racing Toque, weekly team updates and a signed team poster. The names of all Team Supporters will also be integrated into the design of the 2007/2008 INDi2010 racing suit.

One Team Supporter can have a significant impact on the INDi2010 program, covering the cost of a team wax technician for a competition during the winter.

Team Builder – Cash Donation With a $500 donation individuals join the INDi2010 Team Builder program. Each Team Builder receives an INDi2010 Thermal Toque, a long sleeve INDi2010 technical shirt, weekly team updates and a signed team poster. The names of all Team Builders will also be integrated into the design of the 2007/2008 INDi2010 racing suit.

A single team builder covers the cost of a wax technician for a full week of competition, or the travel cost of getting an athlete or technician across the country to an important competition.

Team Builders will also receive a charitable donation tax receipt for their cash donation to the team through the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation.

Team Builder – Frequent Flyer Points Donation Individuals now have the opportunity to become a Team Builder through a donation of Aeroplan & Air Miles frequent flyer points. By donating the points required for a flight within North America, you will be enrolled in the Team Builder program with all the benefits associated with the cash donation program.

The points donated through this program will be used for the travel of athletes and wax technicians to competitions.
