March 19, 2009 (Hayward, WI) – Norwegian xc ski legend Bjorn Daehlie recently competed at the American Birkebeiner for the first time and we partnered up with the Birkie and Douglas Karaszewski of Egami Productions for a pre-race video interview with the Nordic icon. Dennis Kruse, President of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, caught up with Daehlie a day before he participated in the 53km classic portion of the 2009 American Birkie where Daehlie came second. The xc super star attended the event in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation which has joined the Birkie, as Daehlie’s mother is currently suffering from the disease.
