SkiTrax Fantasy FIS World Cup 2009 Contest – Final Standings

by skitrax.com
April 15, 2009 (Toronto, ON) – We’re pleased to announce the final standings for the SkiTrax Fantasy FIS World Cup 2009 Contest following the finale in Falun, Sweden. We apologize for the delay but the final four World Cup events were treated differently by FIS and we needed more time to ensure we had the correct results and points for our contest.

Congratulations to Team Skibunzbov the winner of our inaugural Fantasy FIS World Cup 2009 Contest with 1,346 points followed by Master Blasters in second with 1,336 and Ronaldo in third with 1,310 – for complete final standings click here.

Please note that following Trondheim no jersey points were allotted for the Stockholm sprints or the races in Falun until the final jerseys were awarded. And race points were only allotted for the winners of the Falun Prologue+Pursuit (not separately). During our final analysis we found a glitch with the standings after Trondheim resulting in a few changes – Team Skibunzbov took over the lead while Master Blasters moved into third and Ronaldo took over second place while most other positions remained unchanged. We apologize for this unexpected revision.

Congratulations to all winners, and thanks to all national and international contestants for their participation. We look forward to next year’s great international SkiTrax Fantasy FIS World Cup Contest including our FIS Fantasy TdS Contest – and look for more contests from SkiTrax for next season’s 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Finally a big thanks to all of our sponsors who provided such great prizes – Fischer, Rossignol, Sun Mountain Lodge, Salomon, Louis Garneau, Swix, Bjorn Daehlie/Alpina, SkiGo, Auclair, and X Ski Films/Andy Newell.
