December 19, 2005 – Czech Jakub Janda, the World Cup leader, padded his lead Sunday as he led both rounds of jumping and won the eighth competition of the season. Alan Alborn (Anchorage, AK), the only American competing, was 43rd.
Janda, the normal hill world champ, jumped 129 and 130 meters on Engelberg’s HS137 hill to win his fourth event of the season, this time with 252.2 points. German Michael Uhrmann was runnerup with back-to-back jumps of 128.5 meters, worth 246.1.
