March 21, 2006 – Kikkan Randall held off junior skier Ida Sargent and SuperTour overall leader Karen Camenisch to win the Elite Demonstration Sprints. For the men, Canadian sprint specialist Jeff Ellis crossed the line one boot length ahead of Kris Freeman to take a close final. David Chamberlain was third. A $250 cash prize was awarded to each winner, with L.L. Bean gift certificates awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
