Job Description:
CODA is a national leader in creating Canadian Olympic winter sport excellence from the grassroots level to the country’s best athletes. A not-for-profit organization, CODA financially supports national sport organizations, educational opportunities and subsidizes the operation of unique training and recreational facilities used by the nation’s top athletes and the general public, including Canada Olympic Park and the Bill Warren Training Centre in Canmore. CODA has the following career opportunity available:

The Manager, Nordic Sport, is responsible for the overall administration and future development of the Bill Warren Training Centre and the Haig Glacier.

The Manager, Nordic Sport, will act as a liaison with the Nordic Sport Associations to assist in long-term development and athlete support programs. Part of this role will also be to maintain and build relationships with Provincial, National and International Sport Organizations to ensure that evolving needs for support are understood by CODA, as well as to develop, negotiate and manage contracts with individual sport associations at all levels in support of sport events. As the Manager, Nordic Sport, you will also liaise with Canada Olympic Park Managers to ensure excellent programs, clear communications and efficient use of CODA resources.

We are searching for someone who is able to act as a Standing Member and CODA representative for race organizing committees affiliated with the BWTC and may act as a senior race official of International World Cup or National competitions in Canmore. Another large component of this role will be to oversee the Haig Glacier program and camp logistics. This will involve providing necessary communication with user groups, organizing camp operations, renovations and overseeing the emergency response plan.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education in Sport Administration, a proven ability to work at a national level of the sporting industry and experience in supervising a team of staff. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to Nordic Sport.
