Job Opportunity – CCC Communications Coordinator

October 18, 2018 (Canmore, AB) – Reporting to the DOSD and responsive to the Media Relations Consultant, the Communications Coordinator is primarily responsible for contributing to and implementing all aspects of CCC’s communications plan and supporting CCC’s relationships with members, suppliers, donors and other stakeholders.

As a key member of the communications, marketing and PR team, the Communications Coordinator also implements initiatives led by CCC’s marketing agency and media relations consultant. The Communications Coordinator is also part of an operations team and takes on tasks to support other operations areas as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides input to and implements CCC’s communications plan, including supporting the communications needs of all program areas (think e-blasts, newsletters, announcements, engagement plans, presentations and so on)
  • Maintains CCC’s website and image library
  • Maintains distribution lists and oversees collection, use and protection of personal information
  • Coordinates with and supports other members of CCC’s marketing, communications and media team, including helping to implement the marketing plan (e.g., posting on social media, branding and selling merchandise, preparing collateral) and the media plan (e.g., organizing events as directed)
  • Coordinates activities to ensure effective relationships with suppliers, including fulfilling CCC’s servicing obligations as directed.
  • Supports fundraising initiatives, including servicing donors, implementing campaigns and maintaining the donor database as directed
  • Coordinates engagement projects (e.g., alumni, awards, surveys) and works to add and promote membership value

 Requirements

  • Relevant diploma or degree in communications or related field
  • Superior communication skills, with emphasis on digital communications
  • Strong computer skills, incl Microsoft Office and website content management; ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Graphic design skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics using, for example, infographics and skilled layout and design
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Bilingualism strongly preferred

Working Conditions

  • May be required from time to time to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift items weighting up to approximately 30 lbs
  • May be required from time to time to work outdoors, including on snow
