Job Opportunity – Marketing and Team Coordinator for Madshus Nordic/K2 Inline Skate

K2_sports_logoAugust 08, 2013 (Seattle Washington) – The Marketing and Team Coordinator assists with the implementation of all marketing, creative and promotional programs to maximize brand exposure and sales for Madshus Nordic and K2 Inline skate divisions.

The Marketing and Team Coordinator identifies the key communication vehicles outlined by the Brand manager and deploys all marketing collateral, POP, PR, and advertising for the market, relative to the product, to obtain these objectives.

The Marketing and Team Coordinator is responsible for organizing and implementing all aspects of trade and consumer shows, and works closely with the K2 Outdoor marketing group to identify the needs and manage these events.

The Marketing and Team Coordinator is also responsible for athlete and VIP management, correlating race program management, and creating promotions and events, both on snow and off, including magazine tests/reviews, trade and consumer demo’s, retailer events, consumer events and contests, athlete appearances, and social media to ensure the markets have all the tools they need to successfully sell and promote all products.

Responsibilities:
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Deploy all regional marketing collateral, POP, and advertising materials
2. Manage all regional VIP, influence leaders, and product “flow”
3. Manage complete athlete and race programs and scout potential new athletes
4. Trade show booth planning and communication
5. Trade show coordination
6. Order and manage all product necessary for trade shows, promotions, contests, and events
7. Identify and fulfill all retail marketing and promotional requests
8. Coordinate all PR efforts in both endemic and non-endemic publications including but not limited to Press Releases, Press Kits, Product Placement, and Product Reviews
9. Coordinate and Create social and digital media
10. Create regional events and promotions (retail or otherwise} and management
11. Manage product tests and product reviews
12. Request creative from Global Marketing for specific regional advertising
13. Development of all regional creative and promotional needs

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, Outlook/Entourage Word, Excel, and PPT
• Proficient and well versed in the use of all social media applications
• Participation and/or deep understanding of the sport of cross-country skiing
• Great attention to detail
• Self directed and motivated
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and manage projects on schedule and on budget
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with visual effects and video editing
• Proficient in Adobe creative suite
• Experience in image editing and management
• Active in the cross-country ski race community
