April 12, 2014 – World and Olympic Champion Johan Olson announced at a press conference he will continue his professional cross-country skiing career until the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun next year. “I discussed the situation with Anna and I feel I am motivated to continue for another year, especially in the view of the 50km. I just love to train and ski,” explained Olsson.

The whole family is going to move from Östersund to Sundvsall where Johan Olsson’s parents live. “My wife Anna has been very supportive and allowed me to make this decision,” Olsson said at the press conference.

He also admitted that the decision to continue  was not that difficult to make but there are other challenges. “As a parent of small children you have to get up every day and get things going. The hard part is to get the puzzle of life together. Everthing must be right. You have to have another family member who can help,” added Olsson.
