December 30, 2013 (Oberhof, GER) – When we posted the news about 4-time defending Tour de Ski champ, Justyna Kowalczyk (POL), withdrawing from this year’s race in protest to the changes that eliminated a key classic race, we didn’t realize the effect this would have on our annual FIS Fantasy TdS Contest.

Given that over 90% of the entrants selected Kowalczyk for their team was not surprising and we did hear from a handful of contestants wondering if they could make a change. Unfortunately that’s not possible as the reasons why any skier may abandon the Tour are out of our control, but clearly the playing field is almost equal across the board and we wish all contestants and skiers the very best at the 2014 TdS and beyond.

But stay tuned race fans as more Fantasy Contests are coming and we know that Kowalczyk will be on board for at least one of them being held in Russia…
