Katerina Neumannova Wins 10-km Free Race

February 17, 2007 (Changchun, China) – Katerina Neumannova of the Czech Republic won the World Cup 10-km freestyle race yesterday with a time of 25:21.2. She was followed across the finish line by Karine Philippot of France at 1:8.5 and Svetlana Malahova of Kazakhstan at 1:30. Despite Neumannova’s win Friday, Virpi Kuitunen of Finland still leads in the overall World Cup with 1,197 points versus 756 for Marit Bjoergen of Norway and 702 for Neumannova.
