Maine Winter Sports Center Summit Timing Clinic – July 31-Aug. 2

July 22, 2009 – Come join Summit Timing’s Ernie Page at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle, Maine, July 31-August 2, for hands on training with the Summit Timing System. The clinic will be a combination of classroom sessions and hands-on event timing of the Nordic Heritage Sport Club’s Fat Tire Mountain Bike Festival.

– Cost: Free for members of Nordic Heritage Sport Club, 10th Mountain Ski Club, 4 Seasons, Northern
Skiers and any other Aroostook County ski club. $100 for all others.
– RSVP: By July 21st to eileen@mainewsc.org . Please indicate if you will take part in all of the training
or just Saturday and Sunday clinics.

Schedule

Friday July 31
– 7-9pm – computer training session: in depth training with Summit software. This is a great clinic for
people who want to learn more detailed information about using computer software, troubleshooting
and generating results. Location TBA (Presque Isle). *This is not necessary for people who just want
hands-on training running the timers and being part of a timing crew.

Saturday August 1
– 8:45am – arrive at Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle
– 9am-12pm – training with Summit timing equipment
– 12-1pm – lunch provided at NHC
– 1-2pm – race set-up
– 2-4pm – practice with race timing. Downhill mountain bike race. Remote start and finish.

Sunday August 2
– 8:45am – arrive at NHC.
– 9-11am – Set up for Mountain Bike race.
– 11am-1pm – Timing Mountain Bike race. Mass start with three start times.
– 1pm – BBQ provided.
