Mansfield Masters Club – Join the Fun!

release by Nensa.net

October 26, 2008 (Mansfield, VT) – NENSA’s Mansfield Nordic Club masters skiing program will be offered again this winter, and hopefully with plenty of new snow! Coaching staff will be lead by Christa Alexander and includes Penny Rand, Joanne Hanowski and Jim Fredricks.

Murray will be in Colorado in November and December but will pitch in when he is available during the rest of the winter. Christa has been coaching with us for several years, Penny came on board two years ago and both are former racers and superb at individualizing skiing technique. Joanne has coached in the Midwest for many years and is a masters world champion racer; as the former Rossignol Nordic Race Program director, Jim is known to many and has coached and raced at a high level for most of his adult life.

We will train at the Jericho National Guard Range and as in the past, we will each need to be members the EABC (Ethan Allen Biathlon Club) to access the range ($50); and of Mansfield Nordic Club & NENSA ($30 before Nov. 11 as a member of a club) for insurance coverage.

This year we will offer two training sessions each week, Wednesday & Friday. Wednesday (6:00-8:00 pm) will be group coaching as in the past with time built in for a good workout. Fridays (5:00-7:00 pm) will be training in groups or on your own. The coaching fee this year is $100 and includes both nights and the $10 MNC fee. A non-coaching option is available for $50 and includes the $10 MNC fee… train on your own or with others. Winter Training will begin December 2 and continues until mid-March.
