McKeever Looking Ahead to 2014 Winter Olympic Games – Unfinished Business

March 26, 2010 (Kelowna, BC) – Brian McKeever was the first Canadian to make both the 2010 Winter Olympic and the Paralympic cross-country teams, based on his decisive win in the Canadian 50km trial. But when it came time to name the skiers to race the Olympic 50km event, the coaches left him off the roster. McKeever, who has Stargaard’s disease, resulting in the loss of his central vision, went on to win three gold medals in the Paralympic Games. After returning home he told the Calgary Herald “Now, we’ll look ahead four more years to Sochi (Russia) and we’ll try again.” Full story here.
