February 03, 2016 (Montréal, Que.) – Gestev, producer of the Montréal and Québec City stages of the Ski Tour Canada, announces a change in the Montréal stage presented by Québecor. “Since technical challenges related to the water supply service at the mountain top were impacting the snow making process, we had to move the course,” explains Patrice Drouin, President of Gestev. “Going ahead with the initial course could have caused significant delays in the production of artificial snow, which could have compromised the event.”

However, this is good news for all cross-country ski fans since the course will be moved from the top to the bottom of Mount-Royal, near the George-Étienne Cartier Monument, a location that is easily accessible to the public, eager to cheer the top athletes from 25 countries who will be competing on March 2nd. The details of the new course will be announced shortly after consultation with the Federation International de Ski and Ski de fond Canada. The race schedule remains the same.

The complete program for each stage of the Ski Tour Canada, including Gatineau, Montréal, Québec City and Canmore  is now available here.
