Nakkertok Nordic Seeks Part-time Coaches

release by the Nakkertok Ski Club

May 26, 2012 – Nakkertok is one of Canada’s largest and most successful ski clubs. Through the hard work of both our athletes and our coaches, our racing program has enjoyed considerable success , winning the club banner at Nationals for the past three years. We are a volunteer run club that prides itself on its community-run philosophy.

This year has seen some changes to our coaching ranks with our long-time head coach Mike Vieira leaving us and moving to Canmore to coach with Rocky Mountain Racers. We have hired Kieran Jones to be responsible for our Learn to Complete and Train to Compete Programs. We continue to have Geoff Tomlinson as our Train to Train coach and the coach responsible for the club‘s overall coach development.

While having two full-time coaches is wonderful, we will not be able to deliver our programs without part-time coaching support. We are looking to hire several part-time coaches in a number of roles.    If you are interested in any of the positions please respond electronically to racing.director@nakkertok.ca by June 15th with your coaching resume and a cover letter explaining how you will fit as a coach with the Nakkertok Program. If you have questions or need more information please ask at the same email address.
