NENSA Announces Eastern Cup Race Formats and Distances for 2015-16 Season

August 01, 2015 – The EasternCup race formats and distances have been finalized for the upcoming 2015-16 season of EasternCup, JNQ and Supertour racing here in New England!

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center plays host to our EC opener in December, in Craftsbury Vermont, with an exciting FAST weekend of racing planned. We then travel to Black Mountain in Rumford ME over the January MLK long weekend, where we combine with the Bates Carnival on Saturday for some exciting EC and collegiate racing. We then have two back to back weekends of combined Supertour and EC racing – first at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid, the last weekend of January, and then off to Stowe Vermont and the Trapp Family Lodge, for a combined Supertour, EasternCup and UVM Carnival weekend the first weekend of February!  All to make for a very exciting race season indeed!

Craftsbury Vermont, at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, EC Opener:
Saturday Dec. 19th: classic SPRINT
Sunday Dec. 20th: freestyle 5/5k interval start

Black Mountain, Rumford, Maine, EC (combined with Bates Carnival 1/16):
Saturday Jan. 16th: freestyle interval start: 5/10k (EC/Bates Carnival)
Sunday Jan. 17th: classic mass start: 5/10k (EC)

Lake Placid New York, at Mt. Van Hoevenburg, Supertour/EC:
Saturday Jan. 30th: freestyle SPRINT (ST/EC)
Sunday Jan. 31st: classic mass start: 5k (U16),10/10k (EC/ST)

Stowe Vermont, at Trapp Family Lodge, combined Supertour/EC/UVM Carnival:
Saturday Feb. 6th: classic interval start: 5k (U16) & 10/15k (EC/ST/UVM Carnival)
Sunday Feb. 7th: freestyle interval start: 5/10k (EC/ST/UVM Carnival)
