May 29, 2006 РIt is with great pleasure that CCC officially announces the hiring of St̩phane Barrette as our High Performance System Coordinator-East. St̩phane officially started working for CCC on May 15th and earlier this spring was an active contributor to the High Performance Committee as well as the NST coaching team-planning sessions.

Stéphane brings a vast degree of experience from his twelve years of work and leadership as Executive Director of Ski de fond Quebec. Stéphane has the passion, commitment and leadership necessary to facilitate the optimization and harmonization of the various National high performance components as CCC moves towards achieving its objective of building a sustainable high performance system.

Since both National Training Development Centre facilities lie in the eastern region, Stéphane will be working closely with the training centers to maximize their contribution to our high performance system. Stéphane will be seeking opportunities to collaborate with the various eastern division athlete development and high performance committees so that the priorities for his support role can be developed.
