NNF Map Monday – #SAVE Alaska Skiing

release by NNF

November 07, 2016 – Both NCAA skiing programs in Alaska are close to being cut. Here’s how you can help to keep that from happening. Utah jumps into a commanding lead thanks, in part, to the Wasatch Nordic Ski Academy‘s “Wax for the Drive” event! Minnesota continues to come on strong, and Vermont’s numbers keep going up, up, up!

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Drive for 25 so far. It’s an amazing thing to see the community come together to help our skiers.

The NCAA skiing programs at the University of Alaska Anchorage and the University of Alaska Fairbanks are on the verge of being discontinued after this season, leaving the state of Alaska without any NCAA skiing.

Savealaskaskiing.com has recently launched, providing a place to learn about the issues, understand what support is needed, and quickly take action. If you feel that Alaskan NCAA skiing is an important part of skiing in the United States like we do, here are some things that can be done in the effort to save these two programs:

Sign the petition here.
Write to the Board of Regents here.
Join the March to Save Skiing on November 10 in Fairbanks here.

If the Drive for 25 Combined & Jumping progress bar reaches $20,000 before the end of November 9, we unlock $10k!

Raise $10,000 in new donations for Nordic Combined & Ski Jumping by November 9 and it will be doubled! Don’t put off this opportunity double your impact to combined and jumping.

Accept the challenge. Donate now.
