February 24, 2007 – Swiss ski jumper Simon Ammann, who won two gold medals at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, won the large hill gold medal Saturday night by two-hundredths of a point. No Americans qualified for the first jumping competition at the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.
