July 20, 2007 – American Cross Country Skiers (AXCS) is proud to announce a new two-year sponsorship agreement with Podiumwear by Borah to be the official uniform provider for U.S. masters XC skiing and the annual honorary U.S. Masters XC Ski Team.

The new sponsorship will see Podiumwear by Borah products awarded to U.S. master skiers that qualify as the best in their age/gender categories at both the 2008 Masters World Cup/National Masters (March 1-7, 2008 in McCall, Idaho) and the 2009 National Masters events.

In addition, Podiumwear by Borah will create special “Team USA” clothing items that will be available for purchase later this year by individuals and teams via the company’s website www.podiumwear.com. Groups of master skiers are also encouraged to take advantage of Podiumwear by Borah’s incredible customization services in designing club and team race uniforms ahead of the 2008 Masters World Cup season.

Per a recent decision by the AXCS Board of Directors, the honorary U.S. Masters XC Ski Team selected at this year’s Masters World Cup/National Masters will again be based on the best three of three individual races in each age/gender category. A modified World Cup point system will be used to score placings for top USA performers within the full international results at each MWC2008 event.
