October 18, 2013 – The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association released its 2014 schedule Thursday with six meets starting the first week of January and ending the second week of March. The teams will start the season off in Park City and Midway, Utah, with the Pat Miller Invitational, hosted by Utah with alpine events taking place at Park City Mountain Resort and Nordic events at Soldier Hollow.  The alpine events will take place Jan. 4-5 while the Nordic events are a part of U.S. National’s and will take place Jan. 4 and Jan. 8.

Teams will then head north a week later to Montana State for the MSU Invitational Jan. 10-12.  Starting with a RMISA Alpine Qualifier race on Jan. 10, the events counting toward scoring for the meet will take place Jan. 11-12 at Big Sky (alpine) and Bohart Ranch (Nordic).

After a few weeks off the teams will return to action at the end of January with the University of Colorado/ Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational, set for Jan. 31-Feb. 3 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. (Nordic) and Winter Park, Colo. (alpine).  The second RMISA Qualifier will take place Feb. 3 after the two alpine races that will count towards scoring the meet.

Teams will head straight south for the Jade Enterprises New Mexico Invitational one week later on Feb. 7-8 in Red River, N.M.  Alpine events will take place at the Red River Ski Area and Nordic at Enchanted Forest.

After another two week break, the teams will then hit the postseason, starting with the RMISA Championships, which double as the NCAA West Regional, hosted by the University of Denver in Beaver Creek, Colo. (alpine) and Minturn, Colo. (Nordic), on Feb. 21-22.

The season will culminate the same place it began eight weeks earlier in Utah as the Utes will play host to the 2014 NCAA Championships on March 5-8 with alpine at Park City, Utah, and Nordic events at Soldier Hollow.
