Rottefella Licenses Erik Sports

November 17, 2003 – In business news, Erik Sports has been licensed by Rottefella to manufacture NNN cross country  boots under a new brand, Whitewoods. Erik Sports will begin to distribute Whitewoods and Rottefella bindings effective January 2004, while continuing to provide Salomon boots and bindings through the end of the 2003-04 season.

“As Erik Sports has grown as a company we have seen the need to control all aspects of product design, manufacture, distribution and pricing,” says Michael Messler, president of Erik  Sports. “This step will help Erik Sports provide retailers with the right product at the right price with seamless delivery and customer service.” Whitewoods will be introduced at the SIA Trade Show  in Las Vegas, January 2004. The Whitewoods line will offer packages of cross country boots, skis, poles and bindings.

The initial focus of Whitewoods will be in providing a touring and back country boot line that will be comfortable, fashionable and breathable across all price points.

Erik Sports, Mahwah, NJ, has 30 years of experience in  the development and distribution of cross country equipment throughout the United States. It is recognized for its customer service, depth of inventory and ability to fill in-season orders.
