March 21, 2008 (Soda Springs, CA) – The 2008 Royal Gorge Gold Rush held last Sunday was a great success with just over 300 racers participating – there were 140 skiers in the Gold event (42km), 104 skiers in the Silver race (21km), and 57 in the Bronze race (10km). The weather was cool – calling for blue hard wax – partly cloudy, with a cold wind blowing. There was lots of positive feedback regarding the new 2-lap course and the post-race party with lunch and awards were held at Royal Gorge this year.
