November 21, 2006 – Royal Gorge Ski Resort has put the rustic 1920s Rainbow Lodge on the market for $7 million including 114 acres of surrounding land and artesian wells that supply water to the lodge.

Royal Gorge Ski Resort was sold in 2005 to Bay area developers Todd Foster and Kirk Syme by long time owner John Slouber. Some observers think this could be mean that further development of the Resort is coming.
