May 11, 2009 – Salomon Canada is excited to announce the addition of Phil Villeneuve into their team in a full time capacity with a new multi-faceted role. Phil’s prime responsibility will be as the Salomon Nordic Specialist. In this role, Phil will enhance the work he has been doing for many years within the sports marketing arena; remaining extremely active across Canada in all field Nordic activities, as well as working directly with our field reps and accounts to maintain the highest level of service. His technical knowledge of the Nordic products and customer needs will greatly benefit both our accounts and our national organization.

Phil’s new responsibilities will include further involvement in the global product development and management while reporting directly to Scott Lumsden who returns to Salomon as the Category Manager – Hardgoods (Alpine/Nordic). He will also remain a critical part of our execution team for Salomon footwear, apparel, and Suunto products.

In addition to his new role within Salomon, Phil will also provide assistance as Amer Sports Nordic Advisor, supporting the entire SNS platform in Canada by working with Atomic in leveraging events and brand presence in the market. Phil will help support Atomic’s renewed investment in the Nordic business and ultimately help strengthen Amer Sports’ brands in Canada.
