June 28, 2011 (Edmonton, AB) – Cross Country Alberta is looking for an enthusiastic individual to coordinate an exciting new program called “Ski For Life”.  This is a project focusing on club development through a series of six ski events across the province – collectively to be known as “Ski for Life”.  Each event provides a series of workshops leading up to a competitive race where the workshops are collectively designed to engage the local community, and to thereby build a bridge between the healthy lifestyle of cross country skiing, and the excitement of sport.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating and developing CCA Events as outlined in the attached job description.  The recruitment of long-term corporate participation in CCA programs is an important outcome of this project.  The successful candidate will work closely with CCA to execute a number of ski events throughout Alberta; this is a nine month contract with the possibility to extend into a longer term position.
