March 20, 2008 (Fairbanks, Alaska) – The Ski for Women, Fairbanks will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 3 p.m. at Birch Hill- note new time and day! This is a “Just For Fun” 1k or 3k ski that is also a fundraiser for the Center for Non Violent Living. Registration 1:30-2:30 in the New Ski Chalet at Birch Hill. Entry fee is a donation to the Interior Alaska Center for non-Violent Living. For each dollar you donate, you will receive a ticket that you can put in the drawing of your choice. We have lots of terrific prizes, including an ipod shuffle!

Raven Cross Country has once again donated a pair of skis. Thank you Fred Raymond! Sign up with a friend to be
eligible to win the skis. There will be a potluck and fabulous door prizes afterwards. Costumes welcome!

We could use some help with registration, set up, course set up and timing. Donations of food are also welcome. We will be collecting items for the Center. If you would like to bring items to donate to the center, they could use:

– New Towels and Washcloths
– Crib, Twin and Full Sheets
– diapers and pull ups
– toiletries and hygiene products
– baby items
– winter gear
– art supplies
– canned food
