April 25, 2008 – To honour North America’s top Nordic skiers we will soon launch our inaugural SkiTrax 2007/08 North American Nordic Ski Awards at skitrax.com. With the racing over it’s time to reflect on the 2007/08 season and we invite readers to make their selections for North America’s top Nordic skiers. Winners will be selected on the basis of votes accumulated at skitrax.com by readers across North America. All entrants will be eligible to win one of 5 great prizes to be announced when the award voting is launched.

These inaugural awards also commemorate and pay tribute to Paul Robbins, who covered the sport for SkiTrax since day one, and became a dear friend along the way as he was with many skiers and colleagues, both here in North America and around the world. Paul covered it all and brought the sport to life for so many. We began discussions about these awards shortly before he passed away and we are truly grateful for everything he did for SkiTrax and the sport.

Voting will begin on Mon. April 28/08 (EST) and end at 12 midnight on Sun. May 11/08 (EST) – winners will be announced on Monday, May 12/08.
