release by Sovereign Lake Nordic Club

June 29, 2011 (Vernon, BC) – Sovereign Lake is building on its world-class reputation as it introduces its newest staff member, Glenn Bond to the team. Scott Lemon, General Manager of Sovereign Lake said, “We are happy to welcome Glenn to the team, as we feel that he brings knowledge, experience and passion that are a perfect fit for us.”

“He is taking on a dual role as the Manager of Club and Guest Services and will also be Director of Sovereign’s early season cross country ski camps.”

“Our club has enjoyed tremendous growth within the community over the past few years as people look for an affordable way to increase their fitness, connect with family and enjoy the outdoors. We’ve also seen an increase in destination visitors coming to enjoy Silver Star Provincial Park’s combined (with Silver Star Mountain Resort) 100km+ trail system as their preferred winter vacation.”

“I am very excited to be working at the Club, and to contribute to their commitment to Nordic skiing,” said Bond. “The club has amazing trails and grooming combined with a full service day lodge, rentals, lessons, food service, change rooms and information all under one roof. Top this off with Sovereign’s friendly, well informed staff and it is obvious why I am happy to be working with this true leader in the Nordic industry.”

Bond’s additional responsibilities will include managing, group/ team sales, sponsorship / fundraising and an accommodation referral program with The Bulldog Hotel and Silver Star Accommodation.

The Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is renowned for an extended seven month ski season, exceptional grooming and for hosting the Sparkling Hill Masters World Cup in 2011. This year has proven to be exceptionally long, with snow still on the trails.
