by Marty Hall

February 27, 2008 (Stockholm, Sweden) – After qualifying in 28th place Chandra Crawford of the Canadian team tore up the rainy soft tracks that ran themselves around the Royal Place in downtown Stockholm to finish up in 12th place in the “B” Final in 1km Classic Sprint. Virpi Kuitunen (Fin) was the winner of the “A” Final.

Torin Koos, a member of the US Team, qualified in 20th place, but had a tough time in the heats and lost ground as the day progressed. The men’s sprint was won by Norway’s Jens Arne Svartedal.
