Oct. 30 – U.S. cross country, jumping and nordic combined skiers will wear Swix Apparel this season, the U.S. Ski Team and  Swix Sport said in a joint announcement.

Swix, headquartered in  Lillehammer, Norway, with U.S. offices in Wilmington, MA, has supplied ski  waxes and other hard goods to the U.S. Ski Team for more than a  quarter-century and adding skiwear strengthens an already strong partnership, said U.S. Nordic Director Luke Bodensteiner.

“Swix is active at all  levels, beginning with the grassroots, and we're excited to broaden our relationship with them in this way,” Bodensteiner said. “The technical aspects of their clothing are at the highest level, and Swix is committed to working with the athletes to continue finding ways to become even better.

Swix will provide not only racing suits and hats but warmups, outerwear and casual wear. Dave Lampert, president of Swix Sport, said the company was excited with the arrangement. “It is a statement of their confidence in the quality of our products. We rely heavily on athletes to give us feedback,” he said, “to assure that our clothing meets the highest international standards.”

In addition to waxes, Swix provides tuning accessories and ski poles to U.S. alpine, nordic and snowboard teams.
