June 29, 2013 – The world’s leading long distance cross country ski team, Team Coop, promotes Katja Boner to assistant Team Director. Team Coop consists of 9 athletes from 5 different countries, and competes in the long distance ski championship Swix Ski Classics.

In order to strengthen the organization in front of the coming Swix Ski Classics 2014 season, Team Coop has promoted the swiss staff member Katja Boner to assistant Team Director. Katja is the younger sister of Team Coop´s female star Seraina Boner, last winters Swix Ski Classics Champion, and Katja is also the team physiotherapist.

“I am very delighted that Katja has accepted this new position. She will be present at all training camps and competitions leading the team staff and supporting the skiers. This is another step to professionalize the organization around Team Coop.” says Team Coop´s Team Director David Nilsson.

“I am happy to get this new position and look forward working closer to the team, it feels like we are already on a good way towards the new season.”says Katja Boner.

“Katja has grown in a very positive way into the team organization the last winters, and it also positive with a female in a leading position in an otherwise male dominated sport. She has high ambitions and hold a professional mindset.” says Oskar Svärd Team Captain of Team Coop.
