Sunday was no time for rest as Team Rossignol's Katja Ivanova took a commanding lead from the beginning of the National 30km mass start women's race. She added more and more seconds on field in each of the 6km laps to win by over a minute. Her teammate Brooke Baughman skied an aggressive race, leading the remainder of the women for four laps only to bonk on the fifth lap and fade into a sixth place finish. Katja Ivanova was presented with the top award for the week as the fastest overall women skier at the 2003 U.S. Nationals.

The men's 50km race was a real test of stamina as Team Rossignol skier Justin Freeman led three U.S. Team skiers off the front of the field. As the temperature dropped and the wind picked up, the four skiers maintained a strong pace but were caught by two other skiers in the fifth lap. Carl Swenson made a strong break in final lap to a decisive victory. Justin Freeman ended up fourth in his best long distance skate race result. Other notable performances by some younger Team Rossignol skiers included Owen Hanley in 7th and Eli Enman one tenth of second out in 9th position.

On the Nordic Combined World Cup circuit, Rossignol and U.S. Team skier Todd Lodwick received his first podium of the season by placing third in the Chaux Neuve, France. Felix Gottwald of Austria won the event followed by Rossignol skier Ronny Ackerman of Germany. Ackerman leads the WC after nine events.
