Tour de Ski 2010 – Good Snow Conditions for Start in 5 Days

December 27, 2009 (Oberhof, Germany) – Thanks to the cold period before Christmas, the snow situation in Oberhof is very promising for the start of the upcoming Tour de Ski 2010. The Operating Committee has been able to produce artificial snow and the competition course and test tracks in the DKB ski arena are covered with 40-50 cm of snow and are in good condition.

Natural snow has also been falling in recent days. Should there be warm period in the upcoming days, the OC is prepared as they have produced a reserve of about 10,000 cubic metres of snow. The Tour de Ski will kick off in Oberhof on January 1, 2010 with women’s and men’s Prologue. For the detailed schedule of the 2010 Tour de Ski please click here.
