Upcoming Ski And Snowboard TV Schedule

April 7, 2004 – This year's competition season finished with a bang and you can catch all
the action today, April 7, on ESPN beginning at 1 p.m. EST. ESPN will broadcast four non-stop hours of skiing and snowboarding excitement featuring highlights from this season's nordic, alpine and freestyle U.S. Championships, plus more high-flying fun from the Freestyle Challenge in Heavenly, Calif., and snowboard big air competition in Mt. Bachelor, Ore.

Kicking off the afternoon are the U.S. Nordic Championships, featuring sweeping victories by Todd Lodwick, Carl Swenson and Rebecca Dussault.

Lodwick, who posted his seventh-straight season among the top 10 in World
Cup standings, won the K88, K114 and K88/10K competitions at the
championships in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Women's ski jumper Lindsey Van
also jumped to two titles in the K88 and K114. At the Cross Country
Championships in Rumford, Maine, Swenson and Dussault each collected three
U.S. titles.
 
At 2:00 p.m., watch the U.S. Ski Team's “young guns” make a name for themselves in Alyeska, Alaska. Lindsey Kildow and Jimmy Cochran (a third-generation U.S. Ski Team member) race to two titles each, while
veteran Daron Rahlves wins the Super G for his six U.S. title, and Jonna
Mendes adds a third title to her collection.
Mogul skier Travis Cabral is the man on top of the podium at the U.S.
Freestyle Championships, airing at 3:00 p.m. Cabral, who had five World Cup
podiums including one win this season, took top honors in the moguls and dual moguls competitions. In aerials, Jeret “Speedy” Peterson and
Kelly Hilliman each grab their first U.S. titles.
