April 17, 2014 (Lake Elmo, MN) – Join us to welcome home Minnesotan Jessie Diggins as she returns from a successful World Cup and Olympic season! This event is sponsored by Slumberland Furniture and Podiumwear in celebration of a fun and snow-filled ski season here in Minnesota as well as a very successful race season for our own Jessie Diggins. Jessie’s racing highlights from the past five months:
– Highest ever US Women’s Olympic finish in a Cross Country Distance Event – 8th in the 15K Skiathlon
– Silver Medal in the U-23 World Championships Sprint
– Anchored Bronze Medal World Cup Relay
– 13th in the grueling Tour De Ski
– Top 30 World Ranking in Distance, Sprint, and Overall

6-7PM – Meet Jessie and get a signed ski poster
7-7:30PM – Jessie will share slides and stories from the season
7:30-8:30PM – Enjoy light refreshments and more poster signing time

*This event is free and open to the public. A Washington County Park sticker or day pass is required and can be purchased at the park gate if needed.
