Welcome NBC Family – Watch Ruka Triple XC Ski, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping LIVE STREAMING

release by USSA

November 26, 2015 – Over the next two weekends, U.S. ski fans will be treated to over 60 hours of broadcast and streaming of ski racing from around the world – most of it live! It’s the result of an acquisition by NBC Universal that now consolidates coverage into the NBC family including NBC Sports, NBCSN, Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra. This weekend, fans can watch alpine, cross country, nordic combined and ski jumping live each morning on NBC Sports Live Extra. Alpine action from Aspen and Beaver Creek will air live on NBC, NBCSN and Universal HD, with daily coverage from Lake Louise streamed live plus same day broadcasts on Universal HD.

What will change this year?
The biggest change is more content on streaming and broadcast than ever before, with virtually the entire World Cup calendar in all sports now being streamed or broadcast. Universal HD and NBCSN – both major cable channels – will be the primary home for broadcast.

What is Universal HD?
Universal HD is a longstanding NBC channel that will now be the primary home for Olympic sports. It’s presently available from nearly all cable and satellite providers. Fans should make the simple call today to ensure it’s on your cable lineup.

How do I watch live streaming?
NBC Sports Live Extra provides easy, high quality stream viewing on computer, tablet or mobile device. Most programming will require authentication so you should be an NBCSN subscriber through your cable or satellite provider to view coverage.

What about domestic events?
Events in the USA will continue to air primarily on NBC Sports (regular broadcast channel) and NBCSN, very similar to the past. Some coverage will also air on Universal HD, such as this Friday’s GS opener in Aspen.

How can I maximize my coverage?
It’s now much simpler to ensure full coverage this winter. Most importantly, call your cable or satellite provider today and subscribe to NBCSN and Universal HD, if you’re not already. Most providers in America carry both channels now! That will ensure you can follow all the action on broadcast and live streaming.

CROSS COUNTRY
A dozen U.S. athletes will start this weekend in the Ruka Triple to kickoff the FIS Cross Country World Cup above the Arctic Circle in Finland. The entire weekend will be streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra.
