Wye Marsh’s 2007 Kids Day Camps

December 23, 2006 (Midland, Ontario) – The Wye Marsh’s day camp programs kick off 2007 with a number of exciting activities for kids are starting with the Winter Day Camp on January 2. Wye Marsh’s Winter Break Day Camp can be fun for both families and kids, aged 6-12. Children will get to feed chickadees, see swans, go snowshoeing, track marsh critters, see live reptiles and amphibians, learn about birds, nature crafts, how you can keep our planet green, and so much more!

Dates & Themes:
– Tuesday, January 2nd Finding Your Way
– Wednesday, January 3rd Snowshoe Adventure
– Thursday, January 4th Winter Tracks
– Friday, January 5th Radical Reptiles & Amazing Amphibians

Cost:
Members $25 per day or $90 for all four days
Non-members $30 per day or $100 for all four days

The Wye Marsh naturalists are well versed in working with children. The Wye Marsh is an accredited member of the Ontario Camping Association, meeting quality standards for leadership, program, facilities and safety. Children can experience a fun-filled, exciting adventure exploring nature’s best-kept secrets and mysteries.

“Getting the kids out into the fresh air and learning or participating in a new sports activity such as snowshoeing will help build lifelong skills with the children” says Adam Zita, Director of the Camp Marshes and Moccasins.

Zita adds, “Our enthusiastic staff look forward to making the “Winter Break” an exciting time. Children should register early as space is limited.”

Campers with special seeds can rest assured they are welcome at Wye Marsh. The Marsh is wheelchair accessible and specialized accessibility equipment is available on-site. Please contact our Camp Director in advance if you have a child with special needs so we can best accommodate them.
