XC Supercamp for $5 at Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre

May 15, 2013 (Vernon, BC) – “There’s plenty of snow up here to ski on,” says Scott Lemon, manager of Sovereign Lake. “This Saturday, for the price of a fancy coffee, we will be offering a cross-country ski session with our Supercamp coaches.”

Supercamp is a joint initiative of Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and Silver Star Resort. “Our cross country camps back in November and December were a great experience, and we wanted to offer something in the spring season,” said Guy Paulsen, Silver Star Nordic Manager. On Saturday the 19th, for a $5 donation to the “Jessica Eaman fund, on top of your day ticket, you can enjoy the summer sunshine on your back while refining your ski technique with one of Supercamp’s professional coaches,” said Guy Paulsen, Silver Star Nordic Manager.

Sovereign Lake’s re-opening started on Friday May 10th and runs to Sunday the 19th. The lodge will be open from 8:30am to 1pm daily.

Day passes for adults (19-65) are $10, juniors and seniors are $8.” Lemon recommends that skiers check out the website for recommended ski times according to their ability. Everyone is welcome and rentals are also available for just $5.”

Sessions being offered are Beginner Classic or intermediate and advanced skate technique, running from 9am to 11am. To register, email info@xcsupercamp.com or leave a message on 250.558.3036.
