June 01, 2016 – Serving as an excellent opportunity to learn and share, the annual FIS Leaders’ Seminar for the FIS developing ski nations will be held during the 50th FIS Congress week in Cancun (MEX). Addressing the subject of ‘Training for Youngsters’, the seminar will examine how various National Ski Associations are educating coaches, as well as how they can seek access to competition equipment to provide everything that’s necessary for youngsters to excel in their sport.
Lectures on the respective topics will be held by Peter Läuppi, Responsible for Education & Research at Swiss-Ski and Christian Frison-Roche, Director of the Salomon Racing Team. Meanwhile, the participants will be treated to workshops in each of the FIS Olympic disciplines which will provide further practical know-how for implementing initiatives in their home countries.
The seminar is open to participants of the FIS Development Programme Member Associations.
