Volvo Challenge Roller Ski Race Report, Results + PHOTOS

September 13, 2017 (Sherbrooke, QC) – This past Saturday in Sherbrooke Quebec, was held the second edition of the Volvo Challenge roller ski race. More than 50 top Nordic skiers competed in this sanctioned race set in a unique urban environment.

Elite skiers from Quebec, which included members of the CNEPH (Pierre Harvey National Training Center), faced off against skiers from Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and the United States.

In the 10 km, the overall winners were:

Women’s Race
1. Cendrine Brown, Sr. Women, Club Fondeurs-Laurentides, Quebec, (CAN)
2. Laura Leclair, U23, Club Chelsea Nordiq Quebec, (CAN)
3. Tove Halvorsen, Junior A, Club Nakertok Nordic Quebec, (CAN)

The course took place within the streets of a newly constructed and uniquely landscaped roadway in Sherbrooke Quebec, under the eyes of many spectators.
