December 25, 2017 (Barrie, ON) – During early hours of Christmas morning, a structural fire engulfed the middle portion of our main chalet. The Fire Marshall is on scene, and there is an ongoing investigation into the origin and cause of the fire to determine the circumstances surrounding it.

Until the investigation is over, Hardwood Ski and Bike will be closed. Thank you to all of the firefighters and emergency personnel who spent their Christmas morning trying to save the rest of our Chalet.

We are in the early stages of figuring out how to proceed, but we will be open for skiing again as soon as humanly possible. Thank for your patience and support as we work through this process. We will be posting regular updates to keep you informed. No injuries have been reported.

Our friends at Highlands Nordic have offered free skiing to our members/seasons pass holders while we are closed. Just show them your seasons pass and they will give you a trail pass.

The community support has been tremendous, and we will be back even stronger after all of this.
