January 09, 2018 (Mont-Ste-Anne, Que.) – Dahria Beatty (Whitehorse Ski Club/AIAWCA – CNST), won the Open Women’s 1.35km Sprint FR final with Cendrine Browne (Fondeurs-Laurentides) second and Zina Kocher (Foothills Nordic) third at the newly upgraded settings in Centre de ski fond Mont-Saint-Anne.

In the men’s 1.35km FR Sprint it was Jesse Cockney (Foothills Nordic/CNST) in first and Andy Shields (Lappe Nordic) in second followed by Bob Thompson (Team Hardwood/NTDC TBay) in third.

Annika Richardson (Hollyburn Ski Club/NTDC TBay) topped the Junior Women’s field followed by Elizabeth Elliott (Revelstoke Nordic/BCST) in second with Catherine Reed-Metayer (Skibec/CNJrST) taking the final podium spot.

In the Junior Men’s sprint FR competition Antoine Cyr (Skinouk QC/CNEPH) led the charge over Graham Ritchie (Big Thunder Nordic/NTDC TBay) in second with Étienne Hebert (Montériski/AIAWCA) in third. –
