March 03, 2018 (Lahti, Finland) – American Kevin Bolger delivered a breakthrough 11th-place result in the men’s 1.4km Sprint FR in Lahti as Italy’s Federico Pellegrino made history taking his 10th victory to become the most successful sprinter in free technique eclipsing Tor Arne Hetland’s (Nor) record nine wins.
Russia’s Gleb Retivykh took second Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo in third captured his second consecutive overall World Cup Sprint champion crystal globe.Eric Bjornsen (USA) finished solid in 20th while the top Canadian was Julien Locke in 42nd. Bolgern now skis out of Sun Valley. He won the U.S. classical sprint title in 2017 and was silver in the Freestyle sprint this past January. He was a part of the NCAA title-winning Utah team last year.
