Canada’s Grandbois 15th in Pursuit on Final Day of 2018 IBU Youth Worlds – USA’s Cervenka 24th

March 04, 2018 (Otepaa, Estonia) – Canada’s Leo Grandbois claimed 15th with four penalties in the Youth Men’s 10km Pursuit on the final day of the 2018 IBU Youth/Junior World Championships. Vaclav Cervenka was the top American in 24th with six missed targets as Andrei Viukhin won gold to lead a Russian podium sweep.

Canada’s Benita Peiffer was the top North America in 30th with three penalties while American Emma Sterz finished 48th with four missed targets. Russia’s Anastasiia Goreeva won gold despite three penalties. The silver medal went to Germany’s Franziska Pfnuer with one penalty at 17.5 seconds back while Amy Baserga of Switzerland took home the bronze with two penalties at 29.0 seconds behind.
