March 06, 2018 – The CCC family is thrilled to welcome Stephen Novosad from Val David, Quebec, as CCC’s new Technical Coordinator of Coaching Development. Novosad brings a wealth of expertise, built on many years of teaching, guiding, coaching and leading.

Some of you may know Stephen from his years as Technical Coordinator for Ski de fond Quebec and as a member of CCC’s High Performance committee up until recently, or simply as an enthusiastic and passionate coach with Fondeurs Laurentides ski club.

“I consider myself very fortunate to receive the trust in being invited into the Cross Country Canada team. My hopes and desires are to translate my passion, enthusiasm and experience into a broader value for the skiing community and extend this to a greater reach than I have yet had the privilege to work with. I am looking forward to establishing new relationships with divisions, clubs and coaches nationwide and to further extending those that I carry into this new adventure.”

Stephen is fully bilingual, which will increase CCC’s capacity to serve divisions and clubs across the country by assisting with the following: design of coaching development materials and other coaching resources, technique videos, division outreach, workshop facilitation and a few more functions! Given his current coaching commitments leading athletes into this last stretch of the 2017-18 competition season, Stephen will ease into his new role in mid-April.
