October 23, 2018 (Park City, Utah) – U.S. Ski & Snowboard announces it’s full teams’ staff rosters for the 2018-19 season. It would not be possible to pursue U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s vision of making the U.S. the best in the world in Olympic skiing and snowboarding without a larger system of support in place. It takes a team behind the team for athletes to achieve success on the podium, from the medical and sports science staff – including physical therapists, high performance dietitians, and sport psychologists – to management and coaches all the way from the development through elite levels, without these staff’s, Olympic gold would not be possible.
This season is shaping up to be one not to miss. On the Alpine side, with 82 career FIS Ski World Cup wins, Lindsey Vonn (Vail, Colo.) is just four shy of Ingemar Stenmark’s all-time record of 86 FIS Ski World Cup wins, and will seek to break that record during what she announced would be her last season. The Cross Country Team will be focused on building upon last year’s successful Olympic season when they open the World Cup Season in Ruka, Finland, November 24 & 25. Snowboard, Freeski and Freestyle athletes will all have the chance to showcase what they’ve got on home soil during the 2019 FIS Snowboard, Freeski and Freestyle World Championships, to be held in Park City, Utah, from February 1 – 10, 2019.
