January 29, 2019 (Osrblie, Slovakia) – The USA’s Maxime Germain, Bjorn Westervelt and Vincent Bonacci placed 15th in the Men’s 3×7.5km relay using 14 spares with two penalties as Germany won over Slovenia while Italy took home the bronze at the 2019 IBU Youth World Championships. Team Canada’s Lucas Smith, Logan Pletz and Reid Lovstrom finished 20th with three penalties and 13 spares in the 26-team field.

In the youth women’s relay, Americans Emma Stertz, Lina Farra and Helen Wilson were 19th with two penalties and ten spares while Team Canada’s Karly Coyne, Shilo Rousseau, Jenna Sherrington finished 20th also with two missed targets and 13 spares. Norway won the gold with Germany second and France third.
