August 05, 2010 – There’s more to sport than winning and losing and Canada’s Beckie Scott, Olympic gold medalist and a longtime proponent of sportsmanship and clean racing, has played many roles in this regard. She recently took some time to sit down with Calgary writer/blogger Duff Gibson, an accomplished athlete and Olympian in his own right, to talk about her experiences as a world class athlete, and her views on sportsmanship and the meaning of sport.
Gibson’s own career includes a gold medal in men’s skeleton from the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy, as well as many other accolades. Currently working as the head coach of Canada’s National Skeleton team, Duff’s take on the meaning of sports is the backbone of his site sportatitsbest.com.
Check out part one of his video interview with Beckie on the Culture of Cross Country Skiing HERE.
